Cairo, the current capital of Egypt and the largest in Africa and the Middle East, is one of the most crowded cities in the world. It contains some of the most famous landmarks, including one of the world’s wonders, the Three Pyramids, and the Sphinx. The day begins with a visit to the Three Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Sphinx Valley Temple. This is followed by lunch at one of Cairo’s restaurants. After lunch, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, where its statues chronicle ancient history.
If there’s extra time, you can visit the old Islamic Quarter and the old market of Khan el-Khalili. We can also take an optional felucca or motorboat trip on the Nile for an additional fee paid to the guide.
Access to the Great Pyramid requires an additional ticket, which can be paid for on-site by card.
Hotel pickup and drop-off
Based on hotel location.
The pickup time for the bus is either inside the hotel or waiting outside. The time is early morning, around 01:30 AM, depending on the hotel’s location. The journey to Cairo takes approximately 7 hours, with a 30 minutes rest stop during the trip. A representative or the Egyptologist will accompany the trip from the hotel and on the way back. The guide will organize the best order for the start of the program’s visits.
Please ask breakfast box from the hotel the day before by giving them your room number, how many persons, and the pickup time. Please bring some cash for drinks at lunchtime and for a tip for the tour guide at the end of the program.
