Luxor holds a third of the world’s ancient monuments and deserves several days to visit its tourist sites. However, this itinerary focuses on visiting the most famous monuments, with a one-night stay to allow visitors to explore at a relaxed pace.
On the first day, we’ll start with a lighter visit to the East Bank of the Nile, where the city of the living and the ancient administration were located. We’ll visit Karnak Temple, then have lunch at a local Luxor restaurant before heading to the hotel to rest.
In the evening, before dinner, we’ll have a wonderful visit to Luxor Temple and take a tour of the city by horse-drawn carriage. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel for dinner.
On the following day, after breakfast and checking out, we’ll visit the West Bank of the Nile, the city of the dead and ancient Egyptian mummies. We’ll start with a visit to the famous Colossi of Memnon at the entrance to the West Bank, then explore three tombs in the Valley of the Kings, followed by a visit to Medinet Habu Temple, known for its vividly preserved colors from ancient times.
Finally, we’ll have lunch at a Luxor restaurant before returning to Hurghada.
